This notice describes the information used for book purchases and customer support at Oddly Wrong. For privacy questions or requests, email support@oddlywrong.com.
Purchases and downloads
When you place an order, the shop records your name, email address, billing details, the book purchased, the amount paid, payment status and transaction reference. A phone number is optional. Order records may also include your IP address, browser or device information, and information about access to your purchased download.
We use these records to process payment, provide your PDF, send your receipt, respond to support and refund requests, and maintain purchase records. You can buy the book without creating a customer account or joining a membership.
Payments
Stripe processes payments. Information needed for the transaction, including billing details and the purchase amount, is passed to Stripe. Card details are entered into Stripe’s payment fields; the shop does not store your full card number or security code. Stripe returns the payment result and transaction reference to the shop.
If you choose an optional wallet or Link, its provider handles that service. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy for information about Stripe and Link.
Hosting and support email
The website and its order records are hosted with GoDaddy. Customer-support email is handled through Microsoft 365. If you contact support, the mailbox holds your message, contact details and any order information or attachments you provide. These services process information needed to host the shop, deliver correspondence and help with purchases.
Cookies and technical information
Checkout uses cookies and similar technology to keep the basket and payment session working and to support payment security. Hosting and payment services may record technical information, such as an IP address and browser details, to operate and protect their services. Blocking these technologies in your browser may prevent checkout from working.
Records and requests
Automatic deletion periods are not currently applied to the shop’s order records. Contact support@oddlywrong.com to ask about information held about you or to request access, correction or deletion. Requests are considered alongside records that need to be retained for the purchase, support or applicable obligations.
